There were various milestones in the Hong Kong competition enforcement landscape in 2022. In addition to the Commission’s continuous enforcement efforts against cartel conduct, there has been increased regulatory scrutiny on competition restrictions in vertical relationships. These include the Commission’s first case against a manufacturer for allegedly imposing a minimum resale price on its distributors and the Commission’s multiple investigations into exclusivity conduct.
In the one-hour seminar, Marcus Pollard and Kathleen Gooi from Linklaters covered key enforcement trends in the past year and provided insights into proceedings in the Competition Tribunal. Marcus and Katheleen also discussed how this is relevant to the pharmaceutical industry in Hong Kong and practical tips to ensure full compliance with competition law.
