On June 13, the HKAPI CDCC & CDF Project Team successfully hosted a Primary Healthcare Workshop in collaboration with the Roles of Community Pharmacy Project Team. Nearly 50 members joined us for this engaging event, and we are grateful for your participation.
We were honored to have Prof. Ian Wong from the University of Hong Kong as our guest speaker. His expertise provided invaluable insights into the development of community pharmacy in Hong Kong, and the collaboration opportunities for Pharma industry.
The workshop aimed to provide detailed information and clarify questions for our members regarding government primary healthcare initiatives, including the Chronic Disease Co-Care Scheme (CDCC), Community Drug Formulary (CDF), and Community Pharmacy Programs. Additionally, we sought to gather members’ questions and concerns about these policies, along with recommendations for addressing them. Crucially, we collected members’ perspectives on the business impact of government programs, including their pros, cons, risks, and opportunities. The Project Team will relay this feedback to relevant government partners, including the Primary Healthcare Commission and the Strategic Purchasing Office.
Key highlights of the workshop included in-depth insights on CDCC, CDF, and Community Pharmacy Programs. Prof. Ian Wong’s expert sharing enriched our understanding of the role of community pharmacy in the healthcare landscape. Furthermore, collaborative breakout sessions allowed members to engage in productive discussions focusing on key issues and opportunities.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all members who participated in the breakout sessions. Your insights and contributions are vital for the ongoing success of our initiatives. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work together to enhance primary healthcare in our community!
